Title: Raspberries in the shade
Post by: gardenqueen on March 27, 2007, 12:43:51
I want to move some of my raspberry canes and part of the site is in the shade. Will they grow and fruit alright in that situation?

Thank you Tee Gee for replying. They will get sun from early morning until about noon when they will begin to be shaded firstly by a neighbour's fence and then my garage.

I would say it is OK then!! what was on my mind was the flowers opening and pollinators (e.g. bees)

They're naturally woodland plants, so I can't see them having a problem.
