Anybody growing this, is it a good cropper and where from

yep, got my half in a glass of water(supported by cocktail sticks) with 2 slips on at the mo, going to grow them up supports like toms, the other half's in moist compost, I'm trying to see which method's best to get the slips..soon see ;D
Got two slips off a sweet potaoe so far and these are now in water rooting. Tried two sweet potatoes but one has produced no slips at all - its probably some sort of growth inhibitor which has been used to treat them

Just searched and found this, must search first next time, i'm going to give it a go, has anybody got any spuds from there slips, how many...
Gave up on mine- sat in water for about 2 months & did nothing! :(
try some more, some of the tubers are hit and miss. I've got 9 tubers in water, only 4 are producing slips and none of them have growth inhibitors on them because they're from home grown tubers that I grew last year. Some tubers just seem to produce slips more willingly than others. :)
woody, you may find this thread interesting reading too

Sadly not my greenhouse, just scrounged a corner of the schools centre one!
;D
Saddad were the sweet potatoes on the scales the produce of one plant?
A couple but grown outside... in an open box with glass sides. The Monster was under glass totally as you can see!
;D
I bought an organic sweet potato from Tescos & scrubbed it & kept it half covered in water - about 2 months ago - I have had loads of slips - the ones which emerge below the waterline develop their own roots so these I have potted on, those from the top don't have roots so I have them in a vase of water [I detached them at the weekend] hoping they will form roots. I only want to try a couple of plants so I am giving them away if they do root.
