Ive just planted out some onions and carrots I grew in trays they are about an inch tall, does anyone have any tips on planting out seedlings, I didn't seem to get a flow with them ?

I can't say I've heard that phrase before, can you clarify?

It's best to rake over the area to break up any large lumps.
Make a groove with a hoe, put the seedlings in the bottom
(I'm assuming that they are in plugs), then push the soil back over them
and water well.

1" tall? A bit soon to plant out?

Carrots? Quite unusual to transplant.

Yes I know carrots arn't the norm to grow as seedlings  but I thought I would sow them inside so I could get some earlier

:)

Hi Roger,

I have carrots growing in a large plant pot in a cold greenhouse, we will pick them as we need them (baby carrots)

the rest of my carrots are sown in modules and transplanted at the lottie under fleece. no thinning and no carrot fly ;D / shades x
