I've been looking on Ebay for one of these for ages, then I spotted this in Argos.

I've bought one, not tried it yet, anyone got one?

I had a cordless job, and wouldn't buy another. The power packs couldn't hack it.
I've got the Argos one and i find it is fine for the jobs i want it to do, i use it to cut my grass paths and to strim areas i want to dig. The battery only lasts about 30 mins but i find that is enough for each day. :)
I'd have been satisfied with the 30-minute power pack (I had two), but when they degenerated to ten-minute packs after a year I gave up.
About what i was expecting for £25 then
Yep for 25 quid you get what you pay for, i'm lucky that on my site there is a communal petrol strimmer i can borrow for any tough parts :)
I have one good for doing edging of lawn at home, at lottie does the grass path and there is a lawn aera next to me? yes and they dont cut it often so do a foot wide strip so grass seeds dont come over to mine.
Had it a couple of years now works fine.
We've found the cordless strimmer good for tidying up but not anything heavier.
I try to buy cordless machines with compatible power packs in our case bosch
It's not too bad
Alright it can only tackle grass and lasts about 30-40 minutes
But for £25 it will do a reasonable job of keeping the edges of the beds under control as long as you keep on top of it.

:-)
I strimmed light grass and it lasted 20 mins. Waste of space. :'( :'( :( ;D ;D ;D
Think rechargeable batteries dont last, if contastanly getting charged, cross fingers mine seems ok for what I need.
i bought a black and decker cordless strimmer last year for 30 quid and it managed to tackle my couch grass and nettles until i had time to dig them out i would definitely recommend as a short term solution to nightmare weeds.
