Title: Tesco vouchers for schools
Post by: scotch-mist on March 19, 2007, 01:26:50
I would like to ask a big favour please,
If anyone shops in Tesco could they save the vouchers for schools and send them to me, I am on the committee for my sons nursery and they are trying to save these to buy equipment . I would do it myself but the nearest Tesco is 20 miles away and I have 3 under 5yr olds and no transport.

I will send you whatever seeds you like in return.

Thanks :)

No probs, Misty! My problem is finding someone to take them off my hands, so we are a match made in heaven!

Nice to see you around again!

Hi Scotch mist

PM me your address, I never know who to give them to so it will be good that someone can make use of them.  I'll save them up and post them when I have a decent number.

Scotchmist. I will ask young Lorna. (she shops more often at Tesco's than I do) I don't think Joshua's school is saving them. I will ask her to save them for you. Will contact you later. Good luck.
Lorna.

Hi Scotch-mist, I go to Teso's every week, and usually just ask other people in the queue if they want my vouchers - but I will bring them home for you from now on

Sorry I had to run the other night,  It's  amazing how one so young can concentrate the mind ;D ;D ;D.

Thanks to everyone who are sending me the Tesco computer for schools vouchers,  they are really apprieciated.
The nursery school computer is on its last legs and as the nursery is a registered charity it does not recieve any funding from the government.
So it is up to the commitee to raise funds for whatever it needs.

However I am feeling really guilty, everyone has been good enough to offer vouchers but no-one needs any seeds  :(       So I will go through my seeds tonight and make a list of what I have to give away , (this is a swap shop after all ;D )
Thanks again for all your help ;D

Dont mean to be a bearer of bad news but did you see the news 7-10 days ago reference tesco vouchers. They were claiming you need tens of thousands to get a PC, a thousand gets you something like a recorder. So schools need all the vouchers they can get. As tesco would say... every little helps ;D ;D ;D

No I didn't see that one ktlawson,
I had no idea, I'm going to have to rethink this one now :(

I'll get back to you on what I will do with the vouchers now,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention

You dont need to do a rethink. Keep collecting all the same. Dont give up on them. The school will still get something for what they get. Schools need all the help they can get these days. I hand in all mine. I think this year I will ask the school what they get when they 'cash 'em in'.(Just out of curiosity.)
