Homebase had an offer last week, of two Erynigums (sea holly) for £5.00, so I bought a couple and planted them in the back garden. I've just gone out to see how they are doing and they've gone, just two holes in the ground. Could it be those pesky grey squirrels do you think? >:( >:( >:(
Ummm....could be pests of the two legged - two handed variety if you ask me!
Louise
No one can get into my back garden and they would not have been recognisable as anything at the moment anyway, they were just a few tiny green leaves on the turberous roots.
Could it be your other half having a laugh?
I've found out who the culprit is. Jovi, one of my dogs. Dave said he saw him digging a hole and then eating something. That explains why Jovi had an upset stomach during the week. Little s*d, good job he's already been castrated ;D

Aww what a shame to lose your plants. Just a question, do you have a second dog called Bon?
;)
Hawkweed Sorry about your plants but when I saw pic of Jovi I just cracked up. Just look at that expression ;D

No our other one, both standard wire haired dachshunds, is Beth. She is red, Jovi is a black brindle.
