After being together for several years, having two children, 2 dogs and an assortment of cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks and turkeys, my youngest daughter has announced that her partner has asked her to marry him - AT LAST !
Sorry can't stop now, got lots to organise, only got 12 months to get it all sorted - there's the service, the flowers, the cake, the venue, who shall we invite - and crikey whatever shall I wear?
Hellllllllp !
Wow Granny, she really took her time waiting for the right moment to tie the knot ;D Good luck with the arrangements, especially the venue, they tend to get booked well in advance.
Hurrah and congratulations GS! :D
At least you have a year to sort out the outfit and all that other stuff.
I had my wedding reception in a pub garden by the river on a lovely sunny september day in 2002, and it cost me a grand total of about £300. So it doesn't have to cost a fortune to be wonderful.
Good luck with it all.
congratulations!
p.s. i'm a bargainous wedding photographer ;)
Congrats Granny and to your Miss Smith and future hubby. Hope all have a wonderful day.
*Aqui goes all dreamy thinking about her wedding day*
Eileen goes all dreamy about HER wedding day too - can JUST remember it I think. ??? :-\ well it was a LONG time ago you know. ::) :P
Keep us updated now Granny as you know how we hate to miss out on anything. ;) ;)
Eileen.
She could have it in the shed Granny, and then we could all attend, could bring food, parsnip soup, nettle soup, Tim could bake bread! And we could all bring drink, elderberry wine, sloe Gin etc!! We could all turf up early and decorate teh shed for her.my firemen are itching for a party! Dottie P.

Congratulations GS and all the GS family! Been yonks since I have been to a good wedding, so I will be at the shed, confetti at the ready, big floppy hat especially for the occassion! Congratulations and champagne all round! ;D
Got an appointment with the hotel wedding organiser on Friday evening - cheque book at the ready!! Trevor (my husband) has broken out in a mild panic, he remembers what it cost when eldest daughter got married a few years back. Who needs money anyway?
Love the idea of a shed reception - one problem though, do not now have a shed (it belonged to eldest daughter who claimed it back last Bank holiday weekend 'cause she had moved into her new house), do have a greenhouse though will that do? I could clean the windows but what will I do with the plants?
Dont worry GS we will have a shed built in time, you concentrate on the wedding we shall turn up in droves with
bottle in hand ready to build the shed not saying it will be exactly straight lines mind but something like that . ;D ;D
The mild panic will turn to major panic as the meeting goes on and no amount of brandy will make it stop LOL. good luck.
Thanks Rosebud for those few reassuring words - already got a headache !
What about the photos then Legless - don't want anything too 'glamorous' - none of that page 3 stuff !!!! Ha Ha.
Can anyone supply some flowers, there must be something we can use from the 'companion plantings' on the lotties.
Hi GS you get the flowers i will arrange them for you done my stint at
college good luck tomorrow see you all in2wks. Rosebud. ;D
