Post by: sarah on March 15, 2007, 08:53:12
following last seasons brassica massacre on my plot i have decided ato invest in some enviromesh this year. being of a rather skint disposition i want to get it right with regards quality/price. can anyone reccommend a good deal?

A tip;

Only consider buying it; if it is at least two metres wide.

This allows a bit of growing space on a five foot wide bed (1.5m)

If it is too narrow it will lie rigid on the seedlings causing them to bend rather than growing vertical.

I love enviromesh - it is pricey but you can wash it and reuse it for years. You will see that there is fine and very fine mesh - I made the mistake of getting the ordinary fine, because it was a bit cheaper.  Tim gets some at kaysdiscountgarden which is very fine and a fair price - which one is it Tim? as I want to get some more this year.
