Title: Chitting attack
Post by: Mouseski on March 13, 2007, 22:26:17
PLEASE HELP!!

I checked the spuds in their cosy trays this morning and I have greenfly! Are the spuds doomed? I washed and gently squeezed the little green blighters. Changed the bedding, moved them to the greenhouse. I don't know where the critters came from >:(

Will they still grow when I put them in the ground? SHould I put them in the ground immediately (Kestrel and Desiree)?SHould I whizz up the garden centre and get more spuds?

Grrrrrr - Greenfly >:(

NO panic!!

You seem to have done the right thing. Just make sure your tubers are dry after their bath.

Thanks Tim. Words of wisdom taken on board :)

I'll make sure they are dry don't want them rotting or getting too cold in the greenhouse.
