Title: Insect spotting
Post by: kenkew on March 13, 2007, 19:12:11
Spotted today, bumblebees, ladybirds and best of all, firebugs. Unusual for the latter to be out sunbathing in early March. ( The pic is not from this year.)

Yes, loads of lovely bugs about today. Saw bumble bees and millions of tiny flying beasties - (really pleased as my apricot has just begun to flower  :) ) First bluebottle in the house this year - my fault for flinging wide all the doors and windows to let the winter out!  :) :) :) Also saw a comma - a tatty, overwintered specimen, but pretty nevertheless.
