Title: A bed, a shed, some bread.
Post by: kenkew on March 13, 2007, 18:46:08
Oldies on here will possibly remember my posts concerning leaving boring Belgium for my green and pleasant land of England....well;.. 'A funny thing or two happened along the way.'

Following my 'down-in-the-dumps-beer-stained-keyboard-inputs' I had quite a few Emails. (That'll teach me to post my address!) Most ( but certainly not all)must have been from cranks, no-one would come along with such outlandish requests/demands as I have received.

Mmmm! I'm wondering if I should really spill the beans......................................

Maybe not, It's probably not very interesting to A4A peeps anyway.

Tim, I only ever burnt down one shed - well, one shed intentionally, and for good reason, a story for the future! Sadly, I have burnt too many bridges which means I have created a difficult route backwards.....we all do a few silly's on the way, do we not?

Cammi'...Not wishing to spoil any sporties...here's a moisturiser; After my mentioning my desire to return to the hills of Yorkshire (on this very site awhile back) some kindly folks here must have passed on my Email to lost souls up and down the country...on the one hand this has led to quite a few interesting contacts, and I really do appreciate many of them and I'm still quite keen on 'chatting' to others who might have something in common with me.....but, to mention just one strange one....
A lady actually offered me a shed at the bottom of her huge garden. Mmm! So far so good...well, possible...the shed actually contained a bed!....The offer was...wait for it...I live and sleep in the shed, I get a mid-day meal and in return I work her garden and spend 3 days a week helping out on her daughter's farm...!
I politely declined......there's more, but that's for another time.
      Me thinks a book might be in order....title?....'The Great Mistake!'

Got a few nice ones....but another no-no one here...;
'Caraven' to live in...(needs attention) and I look after 5 pigs, 2 milking cows, about 20 sheep and a goat (and chickens, ducks and cats and dogs) and there's some sort of cheese making thing I have to master!.....and I'm 'In charge' while the family go to India next July for a month...!
Offer is free 'accomodation - in said 'caravan- and £50 a week...Me thinks I'll leave my wellies where they are, Ta, very much!
