 ???

Just Googled "Dolomitic Lime" and it says..

dolomitic lime appears to be the best additive to raise pH and promote growth

So maybe that's it?

Lime, but not as we know it, and not kryptonite either! lol

;)

Back to the question;

Dolomite is high in Magnesium see here;

Dolomitic quicklime is the name given to the quicklime formed from calcining a natural dolomitic limestone that contains nearly an equal molar weight percentage of calcium oxide to magnesium oxide. Ideally, this quicklime would contain 56% calcium oxide, 40% magnesium oxide, and 4% other major lime impurities such as iron oxide, aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide, and sulfur.

Normally one only uses magnesium as a major trace element

Quicklime; (calcium oxide) kills insects, etc., in the soil, and is quick acting, but caustic, and is only suitable for use on vacant land.

Spread at a rate not greater than 450gms per sq metre (1 lb / sq yd) depending upon pH.

Magnesium; http://tinyurl.com/yucwlo

So in my opinion I would NOT use it!
