I found a lemon bush at Woolies and have potted it up in a nice new pot [not one of the old ones sitting outside in my garden]. And then if she lookes after it well she can use the lemons in her G&T!

I'm giving my mum a voucher for an aromatherapy massage. I normally do the ol flowers'n'chocs thing but she's had a rough few months and I reckon she deserves a bit of pampering.

I am thinking of a bay tree for my mum, not sure yet about my mother in law as she probably would not use the bay leaves.

Bought my Mum a pink trug, pink leather gloves and secuteaurs.  Something a bit different, that will make her laugh (we're talking Barbie pink) but I know she will use athem and it'll all last a bit longer than flowers or chocs.

I wanted to buy something long lasting for my mum.

I went on holiday with my parents in February, and my mum seemed to point out every camellia plant we passed.  She was not sure if they would grow where she lives.  As I no longer live nearby, I phoned her local garden centre to see if they had any.  I wanted to do buy an appropriately named plant, as Jeannie suggested, but they only had  'Debbie'.  It looks lovely though, and I hope she will get lots of pleasure from it.

For the last few years my MD 'present' from my always-broke youngest son has been him getting up and feeding the chickens & letting them out so I can have a lie in - he is now at uni so it's get up early as usual I suppose.
