Title: Indoor Cucumers outside?
Post by: OllieC on March 11, 2007, 13:22:28
Has anyone tried them? I've bought some "Avanti" and now noticed that they're for inside. I don't have an "inside" with enough light! It's pretty warm down here but I'm wandering with the whole pollination thing, will I get pollen from other cucurbits around, and also is there anything else (besides pollen & heat) that makes them "indoors"?

I guess it`s primarily warmth-I`ve never tried with a cucumber but you could try growing horizontally under a tunnel cloche?. It works for melons.

well, we grow outside cucumbers inside so, as long as you give them a bit of protection, why not  ;D
