Sojuko was the closest I could get to the ME sweetmeat that I mentioned here a while ago.
No1 Son has at last sorted it for me!

"The nuts on a string dipped repeatedly into grape must, rosewater and cinammon is called palouzes.

An alternative name is shoushouko".
