Title: Carol Kleins Open Gardens
Post by: Mrs Ava on March 09, 2007, 21:03:18
You can tell the old man is out late tonight as I had free rein of the remote and watched my kinda telly.  I really enjoyed this.  Interesting and a chance for nosey old me to look at other peoples gardens.  Interesting also to see what the judges look for in gardens that want to open to the public.  Yup, looking forward to seeing more like this.

I caught this by accident, and it was quite humbling.  John put so much effort into such a small space, and his passion was amazing.

I used to have a really small garden, with masses of bindweed, and I never got it going.  I now have a much bigger garden, in a country where many of ex-pats brag about how many acres they have (I didn't want fields, just enought of a garden for my little ones to play, and for me to grow :)).

If someone with that much passion can create a fully fledged garden in six years it makes me want to plant and grow, and plant and grow!

Good luck and I hope he has many vistors.
