As a poster who rarely shows pictures ::)I just could not resist sending this one. The name of the plant is too hard to type.

Might be hard to type but is easy to the eye..........I like it.
It's a beaut Eric.
Divine!
That's a beauty Eric. I have a tree peony which comes up every year with a load of leaves but not one flower. Any ideas?
We have a peony coming up on the wasteground at the bottom of my allotment. After 10 years of no-one using the site, the last 6 months have bee hard slog digging and weeding (marestail, ground elder, nettles - nearly a full set :-\ ) and then we noticed this little beauty. Just coming in to flower now.
Not in the same 'come-dancing' class, Eric - & going over to boot - but had to offer a Cotswold contribution. = Tim
And worth the effort too. They are a lovely plant, sadly the flowers do not last long enough though.
Too true! = Tim
And to rub it in, here is the first one's sister.

Oh, very well - but mine's the original one!! = Tim
Envy, envy, envy. You guys are just tooooo good. My only contribution at the moment is a fab Hippeastrum with two stalks and 7 flowers! Can't post pic due to posting pic prob's!!
PS; What are peeps using for downloading pic's since HP got damping off disease?
Most are on freebies, I think, but I like our in-house facility - free with your first realistic donation!! = Tim
Ken most of us reduce them to 250 on hpphoto manager then to Photobucket xfer then is simple. The instructions are somewhere if you search. If not send a PM to one of us .
What a beautiful plant Palustris. I have a tree peony which has a reddish tinge to the leaves. The flower is a lovely pink. I have nurtured this plant for 4 years and at last, this spring, it produced two fantastic blooms. They don't last long but the look stunning. I heard that it takes 4 years for the seeds to germinate - any idea if that is true?
Can do, but generally the seeds germinate in Spring if sown when fresh and left to get cold over Winter. Hydrid ones of course do not come true from seed, but P ludlowii and P lutea are quite easy and flower within a couple of years.
O
I am now the proud owner of a magnificent cold frame which I have yet to learn how to utilise to best advantage. I will have a go at sowing seed this autumn and see what happens. By the way, I wanted to post a photo of my tree peony flowers (2) but couldn't begin to understand how to go about it. I use an applemac computer and all these pc codes are very daunting!
Not sure about how to post photos from an Apple eitehr. Have you tried joining Photobucket.com? If you can get here I should think you could join. If so then the procedure must be very similar.
