Just wondering if there's anyone from Norfolk Suffolk or Cambridge on these forums. Have seen plenty of peeps from up north, but don't recall seeing anyone from east anglia. (No norfolk farmer jokes please!!!)
There's several of us in Norfolk KNBS & believe it or not we can all read & write though personally I've never driven a tractor - can't speak for the others!
I can drive a tractor!!! :)
I can ride a bike ;D
Col
(In Norwich)
I can drive a tractor, set out and plough a field (without a reversible plough) and ride a bike (50 miles a day).
When did you last see a farmer on a bike?, in the 1960's, a local farmer used to cycle to the phone box in the village to make his phone calls.
i am in cambridgeshire @->--
I've had a ride in a tractor, does that count?!?
Ah,, it seems that are are a few of us about then! Excellent - glad to know I'm not the only one! Phew! Although I doubt there is anyone from Kings Lynn! Boo hoo, I'm all alone!
There's at least a dozen regulars from somewhere in Cambridgeshire. I think Lorna is probably closest to Kings Lynn, though?
I know a song about riding a tractor that I do with my 2 year old, does that count lol
Back on subject now, we're in Sunny Suffolk
I used to be able to plough, harrow and calibrate a seed drill - haven't always been a Londoner ;)
Haven't got an allotment, just my garden but Ceratonia is probably right about me being one of the nearest to Kings Lynn. March, Cambs. Another lady nearby but will let her introduce herself. Happy gardening.
Lorna.
Hiya, I'm just around the corner from Lorna - in March - Hello! :)
Wow! There's loads of us! Yay!
An extra big hello to all those in the east!!!
Hi All,
I live just outside Norwich and I too can drive a tractor :P
barkingdog
lol, d**n tractor jokes! What did I say about farmer jokes??? lol.##I can't drive a tractor, although maybe I should learn! ???
Hi, i am in Gorleston on sea nr Gt yarmouth. :o
Ahhh, spent many happy summers in gorleston, when I was little. Love it there!
How ya gettin ooooonnn? Fakenham has a representative, and i love it!!! OTBC
Welcome Andy. Good to see the norfolk contingent growing. :)
It's good to see so many of us! The people on my local site, are highly suspicious of the idea of an "allotment form" and can't seem to understand why I use it so much! So I'm guessing you won't see many other people from King's Lynn on here!
Hello - I've just joined the forum and I'm near Downham Market just 20 mins south of King's Lynn - as long as you don't get stuck behind that tractor ;)
lorna, ceratonia and prink13.
I was born in March (Cambs) in March (Month), A real March Hare. I was actually born in the March Nursing Home, I understand it is now an old folks home (have they got it ready for me?). Although I have lived for about 75 years in the Highlands (of Cambs.) and two years in Norfolk (Larkshall, East Wretham).
Now they are building the A428 by-pass, they have created a lake and a mountain opposite my bungalow.
another one in gorleston on sea, ain't it grand at the sea side? :)
dont forget me, i am in south cambs
Larkshall, Is that the one in Robin Goodfellowes Lane? I had a shop in Darthill Rd in early 80's and I understood the building was split in to individual flats. I think there is a "warden" system in operation.
Cambridge - but no longer physically there! Was born there and lived there until 22 years old, but then temporarily became a West Yorkshire lass until moving to Mainland Europe (now in France)! Still have a soft spot for Cambridge though - my Dad used to grow amazing vegetables in our back garden. ;D
Hi I'm in St Ives but I don't come from anywhere near here but from mid Canterbury in New Zealand via Scotland. Tractors, Farmers and sheep very common where i come from.
P.S There's a thread for us which I'll bump to the top.
I've just this second joined this forum. I've got two plots in Peterborough and I drive a big Land Rover... Does that count as a tractor?
My Missus thinks so.
Welcome to A4A Plot69.
Wish you good luck with your sowing and growing in 2008 :)

Thank you very much. If anyone is interested there are some images of my two plots as they were when I got them and as they are now 10 months later.
