Will be a while yet til we get the plot clear enough for that plan. :(

However if this weather holds out over the weekend may actually get some more done. :)

How many people is that plan suppose to feed ?  I only have 5 rods and 3 adults to feed.

It says for a plot of 10 rods but does not mention how many people to feed alto the numbers of each plant seem reasonable for a family of 4 - 5 adults.  But to grow 5 Cardoons?  a bit of a space waster it you ask me unless you absolutely love the stuff!!  Also if you grow the squash/pumpkin with the corn and beans (three sisters) you could save a bit of space.  You could also grow them and courgettes on your compost heaps to save space!

Jill says 4-6 people - but one would probably need to supplement with potatoes & onions from elsewhere. Not entirely scientific, but a nice contribution?

Cardoons - of course - because they sell them!! Substitutions are allowed. Equally, you could say that 9 Asparagus was a bit thin?

TG - of course!!
