Title: Lablab beans
Post by: sweet-pea on March 05, 2007, 17:07:23
Hi

Has anyone grown lablab beans before.  I was sent some in a seed swap, and there wa a little note saying they needed an early start.  I'm wondering how early they need sowing, and any other tips anyone has for growing them.

Thanks

SP x

I grow them every year, I have just put them in some pots today. Nice flower and purple pods, eat them young and raw. But save a few for next year. Some people treat them the same as sweet peas.

Thanks ACE, I shall get mine started pretty soon then and keep my fingers crossed.  From reading on the web they seem very useful crops in that you can pretty much eat every bit of the plant.
