Hello,
well, it's finally arrived! The day when we collect my new greenhouse. Well, its not new, not even new to me. We left it at my last house, as we didnt have time to move it. The new owners never used it. When we decided to get one for this garden, after much searching, we decided to ask if they'd like to sell it back to us.
It's quite nice to have my old one, as it's got lots of bits and pieces with it, including staging, a wall shelf and piping to support tomato strings. I will keep you updated on the progress, hopefully with pics, and a running total of glass smashed. If I remember rightly, there are 2 spare panes tucked away behind it too, so they will be handy ;D
I really need to get this, as the conservatory is really backing up with seedlings.
Hopefully will update tonight, if I can still type with cut fingers ::)

I am green with envy!!!!!I lost two on Ebay and missed one on freecycle - but somewhere there must be a green house with my name on it!

Change your name to Norfolk ;D ;D ;D
Well I forgot to take my camera, so no pics of greenhouse in original position :(.
It took 3 hours to dismantle, put in the Vectra estate and offload it into the garden. We had to carry it all down 2 flights of steps in the original garden, and then down another 1 and 2 small half flights of steps in our own, so needless to say, we are pooped!
Quite a few bolts snapped, as they were so stiff. One pane of glass was missing from the door, and 3 others were cracked, but all in all not too bad.
Rain tomorrow, so there wont be any progress, but Saturday should be fine. I think it is going to take hours to clean all the moss and algae off the glass. Anyone have any reccomendations of the best thing to use to do this?
At least things are progressing. They need to, as before long, there wont be any room for people in the conservatory. It is getting like a triffid holiday camp!

ray uses a mix of vinegar and a little bit of washing up liquid, in warm water put on with a sponge and wash off with a hose..he did ours before we put it together, worked like a dream.. ;D
Thanks for the advice. I will give it a go.

A solution of Jeyes Fluid should do the trick - disinfect it all thoroughly at the same time. Good luck on Saturday and do let us have some pictures :).

Jeyes fluid is what i use as well. :)
Well, surprise party for my father stopped us getting on with the greenhouse today. Still, it was a good party.
Instead of pics of the building work, here is a pic of my other new greenhouse I bought today as part of another lottie.(http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p222/carolinejohnson/lottie008.jpg)
Looks like I'll have LOADS of space for all the things I have been dreaming about planting. I wont have the key to this green house for another week though, so will be able to get on with building the one in my garden next week.
I am SO excited ;D ;D ;D

Lets hope all the pics work right this time ::)

exciting ! ;D
Well, finally finished building the greenhouse as it got dark. Bit of a problem with it being out of square, so some of the glass wouldnt go in, but nothing a bit of a shove wouldnt fix ;D. Hoping to get the staging up this afternoon, so I can finally move into it.

Lovely new greenhouse. We put a second one up a couple of weeks ago and it looked so lovely and shiny so we had to get all the glass out of the old one and give it a good clean. You will soon fill it. Ive a little more room now the chitting spuds have gone. I had my daughters to do as well cos she hasn't got a Gh and if they were in the house the kids would eat them.
