Title: Links to websites in forum messages
Post by: petemason on February 28, 2007, 08:17:40
Thought I'd ask this question where I know I won't get scoffed at!
When people post a message on this forum and put a link in to another website
ie:-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/
instead of the full address they sometimes just put here and when you click on 'here' you get taken to http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/
How do you do that??

Like this, but replace { } brackets with square ones [ ]

Type {url=xxx} where the xxx is the url (the full address) of the link

Then type the text that you want to appear as the link e.g. click here for pics of my veg.  Underline it using {u}...{/u} tags around the text.

Finally, close it off with {/url}

So to make this link to Google (http://www.google.co.uk) you would put {url=http://www.google.co.uk}{u}this link to Google{/u}{/url}
