How brilliant!! :D
Looks to be a great positioned plot (not that I know much :))
I love the ticket booth!
Happy clearing and allotmenteering!! 8)
Happy gardening dtw
Couch harvest first dtw, before it gets a stronghold. Glyphosate will kill it off, but you still have to dig it out, any small little bit of the B*****D stuff will grow vigorously, and you will be back to square one.
What is the pile on the right of the photo, have you taken up scrap collecting, are you a womble, or was it left by the previous plot holder.
Someone on the forum may have advice as to the getting rid of rubbish left by previous tenants.
Good luck in your gardening,
;D ;D
Its wonderful - all the anticipation and excitment of what you will grow and how it will look..happy diggin!
It was one of the few left that were near the path and the entrance.
I didn't fancy carrying heavy stuff a long distance from the car.
Does anybody know if councils will clear rubbish left by previous tenants?
There is loads more on the next plot, it's probably been left by fly tippers.

They should do. I called our allotment people and they send the council boys round to clear the contents of the old shed. It took them a month or so but they turned up and took it all away eventually.
Fly tippers? Is your site not secure then?
:D I took a picture when I got my plot and also drew a red line around it at the time!

Today I finished my first raised bed, the bed on the front which had potatoes last year, now it has artichokes and purple sprouting broccoli.
Dtw,
on our allotment site down the road to you, it is in the tenancy agreement that it is not permitted for anyone to remove rubbish from their plot and put onto others. We have an area that is used for the rubbish, and the allotment society chairman then phones the council to come and clear it.
I know it is different council, but being neighbours, they should have similar policies.
I'll see if I can get hold of the society chief, there is a member's shed on the far side, but I haven't been over there yet.

It's got locked gates, but they may have been left open one night.
By the look of the rubbish, it may have come from the site itself, old windows, mud etc.
Most of the rubbish is on my neighbour's plot to the right.
probably some other plot owners getting rid of windows and stuff they've never used. I know the problem.
Cool shack DTW 8)
I've got hold of a lot of Bus Shelter glass for a DIY Greenhouse or 40' of cold frames!
;D
When you've got it all looking beautiful then you can invite visitors & hand out tickets from your very own booth! :)
Good luck, don't forget the 'after' pics as well.
Will do, I'm going to do a sort of blog on my website.
