Rellies been asking for my birthday list, so I sat and composed it, it reads thus:-
A very sad list to some……...but it makes me happy!
Bags Compost, I need LOADS! (Focus has an offer on at the mo, 4 for £10)
Bag Cornish Cobbles mixed colours (Focus)
Bag Aquatic Compost (Millbrook Aquatics)
Fish Net (Like Mum’s) as above!
Manure (Lady delivers in Friday Ad)
Trellis (For top of fence)
Trellis Panels
Garden Arch (Hint Barry ~ You can make me one!)
Back To Black ~ Amy Winehouse
::) ::) ::) ::)
Not sad at all DP, it sounds a wonderful list to me and I shall be creating a similar one very soon. Already have Sarah Raven's book on flowers and some seedsand dahlias to go with it, secateurs and fruit bushes on mine! Always have compost and manure too!
PMSL @ MANURE ;D
I usually get a load of s**t for my birthday as well!
not at all D. i asked for sh*t for valentine's day. got the usual stuff plus £10 for poo.
spent it on beer.
ah well, the thought was there.
;D
All sounds wonderful. And a happy birthday to you too for when it gets here. :)
Doris, not sad at all, i shall be doing the same thing as you when it all happens, soon hopefully. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
A girl after my own heart DP
What with Mothers day coming up and then my birthday just after, my list is much the same as yours.
Terracotta pots
New bird bath
Garden tools
I can always think of loads of stuff that i need for the garden ;D
Yep, I got manure for mother's day last year and am requesting a right-angled fork this year!
Puts me in mind of the two Ronnies 'four candles' sketch Caroline ;D
I hope you get it ALL DP. ;D
Not sad at all. Reads a bit like my christmas list! Only sad to non-gardening females, who would obviously think you had screw loose! ;D ;D
I asked middle daughter for compost for Christmas present. She said no but as part of my present she gave me £10 Focus voucher. She knows I buy my compost from there. Off to get it tomorrow.
Sad!!! That's not sad!!! Now the people who think it is sad,are sad. [Did that make sense?]
Nothing wrong with that list at all DP. I would count myself very lucky to get anything from there, apart from Amy Winehouse though, would prefer a Neil Young album. :D Happy Birthday when it comes! :-* busy_lizzie

I have the Amy Winehouse album Ms Pinks and it's flippin brill! Shall I burn you a copy, then you'll have more money for poo?! ;D
For past birthdays I have been given;
a wheelbarrow
long handled [pruners
a pink weeding bucket
a pink kneeler
seeds
etc etc
All my husbands mates thought that he was wierd buying stuff like that, but he knows how to make a girl ;) ;)happy!!!
i've just asked for some knee pads for mothers day!! might add chicken manure to that as they are a bargain at 1.99 so think i can get away with 2 pressies :D
Its my birthday on tuesday, and on Monday, Lidl have wellies with sunflowers on them, £5.99. I have put in my order with the hubby! Hoping he'll throw in a pair of those wellie shoe things as well,£2.99, as my plot sould have all woodchip paths soon. Who needs a bunch of flowers!
cj :)
latest pressies are bird boxes, ladybird house, wood for the fruit cage, nectarine tree..however have decided i want best of the drifters cd for mother's day..however, our anniversary's coming up soon..will get my thinking cap on ;D
Better than "smellies" and taking things back to M+S....
::)
Great list DP! I like Amy Winehouse but beware the 'explicit lyrics' version of Back to Black. Bought the CD unwittingly from Amazon just before Christmas and couldn't believe my ears. I'm sure the cleaned up version is fab so why produce such an unnecessarily vulgar version as well?
Emmy, if no album is forthcoming, can I take you up on that offer please ;D
Jill, I guess 'cos to some peeps it helps to sell it?
Was thinking yesterday, I need to add to my list.............
Weed Supressing Membrane and a water butt or 6! ;D ;D
Glad to see I am not alone, sister puts diamond ring on her birthday list every year, still on the list 40 years on! ;D Now if she had asked for manure, I am sure it would have been arranged............a non gardener see! ;D
