By buying me one of those new fangled air freshners with the batteries in which puffs out a whaft of fragrance once every 36 minutes. I had it in the downstairs hall on a shelf, and last night it woke me up time and time again! Sometimes I only stirred and got comfy and back to sleep, but a couple of times I woke bolt upright and thought we were being burgalled. I am cream crackered today and feeling rough like I have been out on the town! Needless to say, the airfreshner will be shut in the dining room from now on and I will be in bed by 10pm!
B. awful things :o They installed some in the Home my mum was in - and I sat directly in the line of one........ :-[
My mate had one at Christmas. I thought it smelled of p*ss. Didn't have the heart to tell her, but put my foot down when the OH said "oh we should get one".
;D
Evil things - all those chemicals going into your body. They give me asthma and my son too who doesnt even has asthma... I now ring my mum before i visit to tell her to unplug the bloody things! Also when someone has them on all the time the house does start to smell like stale cats piss!
Not a fan either but EJ your story reminded me of when the battery is going in one of the smoke detectors - being woken up at half hourly intervals & knowing the only way to stop it is to go & get a chair & take the battery out & just not being able to do it, drifting off to sleep again only to have the darn thing bleep again on & on & on all b****y night.
You'll sleep well tonight. :)
Quite like our smell here!
Yes, I have to confess I quite like the smell. Lavender. But the noise!
what is it with mums and air freshener? My mum bought me glade oil thing-v.v.v nice and one of those bathroom touch sprayer things which girls immediately set about emptying. Didn't buy refill but recommend the glade scented candles and oils. Lovely! And silent! 8)
OO, at my mum's Home they had to get rid of the things cos the residents with emphysema and asthma got progressively worse - oh! and I charged them for dry cleaning my suit ::)
I really do not like those chemical smells - beeswax polish and brasso tho...heaven 8)
Now I like the smell of real lavendar oil and other aromatherapy oils which i will happily burn away in an oil burner.
I also love the smell of horse and cow muck - always have done since i was a tot!
