Hi Blue Bird and thankyou for your reply, I use a woven weed control fabric between my raised beds this can be covered with bark chippings if you want to which will prolong it's life but I find it useful as it is because I can sweep my paths clean, regards Steve.

I was in someways fortunate that I had the time to keep them this tidy, I doubt that with my Kitchen Garden project I will have the time to keep them as tidy as I have done in the past but I will try, the raised beds and paths do make it much easier though, regards Steve.
Brill, as always. ;D
Very impressive, Steve, Also nice to see you in this month's Kitchen Garden. Is is going to be a regular feature?
Hello Marymary and thankyou for your reply, as far as I know they are going to follow our crops progress throughout the season from different parts of the country so I think that would mean a monthly contribution on my part but I've yet to find out for definite, regards Steve.
thanks for the hint about the yellowing garlic. i noticed a couple of yellow leaves on mine Solent Wight yesterday so will wait and see what comes through next. The Purple Wight seems ok.
Great stuff Steve,
