Or at least I did have, about 6 melon seedlings until they all got munched clean off at compost level over the weekend >:( so todays mission was to find the culprits. No slime trials or bugs to be found, until I lifted one pot and moved my propogator and there was snail, and his homeless cousin, slug, both fat on my poor seedlings! >:( >:( Mr Snail was crushed and Mr Slug sliced in 2, grim and gross, but will Ava look forward to tucking in to nice warm slug on a summers evening, or a nice slice of gala melon? :)
Not overly sure if I want slug thank you........(http://www.savingadvice.com/forums/images/smilies/puke/vomit-smiley-011.gif)

omigod! what great smilies!
Good one Ava ;D ;D ;D
Not only good at building sheds, bringing home good "waste" and telling jokes but now the smilies!!
Don't blame you for the slug/snail treatment EJ I've got to be more ruthless tis only way
Not by BBQing, surely?? = Tim
Went in to the house of green tonite at dusk to tuck my babies up, and what did I find with his gnashers around one of my cucumber plants, a ruddy slug, thats what! >:( For a fairly small slimebag I was rather impressed at his bite - he had a fair old whack of the leaf in his gob. Needless to say, he went to meet his maker happy with a full tummy, and I am yet another cuc plant down! Serious re-sowing to take place tomorrow! :-\
