Taken through double glazing, upstairs window and in the rain!
But what is it?
Is it a Siskin?

The Siskin seems to have a darker head though...
How about this?

Just to add my two penn'orth, could it be a yellow wagtail?

a lovely visitor for your garden. Could you hear the "Little bit of bread and no cheese"? I have always wanted to hear it since reading about it in a Ladybird book when I was young (a long time ago...). I would love to see one.
I've just been doing a little research, and the yellow wagtail is only a summer visitor, so I would imagine unlikely. And to me, it doesn't look like a wagrail in the photo. Did it wag it's tail at all?
I still think it's a Yellowhammer just from the way it looks, and apparently they can be attracted to gardens in the winter if seeds are put out for them as they are seed feeders.
It definitely was not a wagtail. We see both grey and pied frequently so I knows what they looks like.
Its just like my yellow headed bird Eric, the yellowhammer shown on here last year.
