Post by: Robert_Brenchley on February 16, 2007, 10:13:12
I was walking round the site yesteray, and spotted a magpie building a nest in one of the hawthorns beside the lane. Anyone else seen any activity?

My hens have started nesting - Had over a dozen eggs this week, compared to 2 per week previously.  :D  Maximum production will eventually be about a dozen daily :D

I watched three male blackbirds flapping over a female this afternoon; she watched from a distance and looked amused by the whole thing!

They always said that the birds start to pair up on valentines day.

The starlings putting all sorts of rubbish under the eaves, I brushed the dog out the other evening and all the hair has disappeared.
