Title: Cheap? fruit bushes.
Post by: quizzical1 on February 14, 2007, 23:50:02
OH came home from work yesterday with 2 redcurrant and 1 blackcurrant plantlets. Can't call them bushes just yet because they're only about 6-8" tall from the top of the rootball. They do have a few tiny green shoots on them.

Anyway, she said she found them in our local Pound Shop, obviously at a pound each. Is this a good price?

The only problem I can see with them is that they don't have any identification on them as regards what type of red/blackcurrant they are

The A4 labels look quite good value at £3.99, they are £9.99 in PC World.

been after blueberries for this year, just managed to get two for 4.00 each from wilkies, not a bad price and good size bushes, still no luck on whitecurrants, will keep looking  ;D
