Did you know that 60% of children think that potatoes grow on trees? That's the startling finding from the British Potato Council, whose response is to launch the Grow Your Own Potatoes project for schools

http://www.potatoesforschools.org.uk/

Quite a fun site and includes videos showing you how to grow potatoes

I am supplying  my nephew's school with all my extra seedlings as this year they have turned a small area in the grounds to a vegetable plot, this is to encourage the kids to eat more veg by watching it grow and and eating the produce.  As a lot of them have no idea how things grow let alone taste when not fried!
