Who drives a nissan micra? is it governed to ony do 20mph, or are you paid by the government to drive slowly and keep the rest of us from speeding. I never see one near a speed camera.
I am going to start a petition banning nissan micras from the road between the hours of 7.30am to 7.30 pm.
Nope, although I did learn to drive in one....but that was some 18 years ago.....

thank goodness we've just swapped..had a micra for 6 years, now selling, always did more than 20mph, brilliant mpg, loved it ;D

I got stuck behind a model the other day called a Nissan Micra "Tempest" ;D - that's really taking the whole "wish-fulfilment" part of branding & advertising a little too far.

It wasn't doing anywhere near 20mph - that would have dislodged the cushions on the back parcel shelf.
(My girls have long accepted that the words I use on the way to school are not to be repeated. :o)

About 18 years ago, it was the first proper car I bought - i.e. one likely to pass a MOT and have all the body panels the same colour. I loved that car.............
ACE - you seem to have Micra issues, something you need to share - you know we are good listeners ;D
Maybe it's because the AA use the Nissan Micra for driving lessons, ACE, and you just keep getting stuck behind them. ;)
Have pity - I was once one of them, but have driven Suzukis ever since. Lovely motors, run on a teaspoon of petrol, nippy in town, zippy out, absolute bargain guv'nor...

Each time my girlies have changed their cars the Bearded wonder has tried to make them buy a Micra. "no no no" they cry" that's an old person's car" :o Golfs all round for the wimmin here. Have to say from a safety point of view, it makes me happier.
Not so much bothered by micras, more by the chelsea tractors driven by one woman with one privately educated child in the back. She can't see out to the side because of the windscreen pillars and is too high up to see if a child was standing slap in front of her. Doesn't matter though as her child is nice and safe. Her reg plate is D1VA!! Lives round the corner from me, attempts to murder my girls on regular basis by haring round the corner or occasionally mounting the kerb.

We had a bog standard one for a couple of days as a "courtesy" car last year. More like barefaced cheek car! Completely unable to cope with any sort of hill - one wonders what sort of numpty thought that made a good courtesy car in Sheffield which is ALL hills, mainly between 1:7 and 1:4.

i loved my micra and i didn,t hog the middle lane on moterways, stayed in the inside one i did well i didnt need to overtake did i . didn,t do 20 though went mad and pushed her up to 50 well on flat bits ;D ;D
got a suzuki swift now it,s more of a grown up,s car it,s good but not my micra

Another Golf here too, nice old red one that I love. I have had Golfs for about 20 years now and wouldn't have anything else, they are so solid.
i have to say though that if i had the money i would get a "nisan figaro" goggle it and you will find a damm sexy car!!
How do those of you with pocket sized cars(Nissan Micras and Suzuki Swifts etc.) cope with carting all your tools to and from your allotments, let alone trays of plants etc.?
I drive a Vauxhall Zafira, and things like rakes and hoes are very awkward to fit in that even at times. Mind you we do have a baby seat on the middle row of seats so that can't be collapsed easily. (for the grandson of 2 yrs)
the back seats in my car drop down making the boot like a tardis! from the outside the car is tiny (constantly losing it in car parks) but me and OH have had a picnic in the boot before when rain stopped play. I can get all my tools plus a wheel barrow in the back ;D
Well I have a Mini and think it is absolutely brilliant. I am on my 2nd one (the other written off) and in all my years of driving, Polos, Vauxhall Chevette, Corsas, Novas, Wyvern, Seat and a Peugeot 206, it is the BEST.
;D ;D ;D ;D Not only that when you come to sell one you don't get a big depreciation in price. It is roomy inside and nothing like the original Mini which I did have in the 60's. Highly recommended. ;) ;)

Once had a Micra as a 'courtesy car' (which I didn't think was very courteous at all of the garage!). Nicknamed it the 'Nissan Hut'....

we got 16 bags of horse muck in the back of the micra, mind you it was a bit of a squeeze ;D

I've got a Renault Scenic and I love it as there is SO much room in it. My OH keeps threatening to swap it for a smaller car because then, and I quote.....
"you'll have to actually clean the boot out every now and then, instead of just chucking all your allotment stuff in and piling other things on top of it..there's stuff growing in there you know"
Needless to say, his car is very, very clean & tidy. ;D

Ha ha TC, same here. At the mo we've had a swap around as something seems to have dropped off Daughter ones car. She is only allowed to drive mine because hers is like a (dirty) stable on wheels and mine is like an allotment on wheels,.Daughter Twos car is very clean and girlie but I am allowed to drive it as she owes me money. ;D (oh the power) Bearded Wonders volvo is a very clean thing of beauty inside and out, but he pays to keep it so. ::)

As all of you are proud of your drives, here's mine. mishubitsi singlecab pickup, a ton of manure/gravel/compost goes in the back, it tows my boat, de-mountable caravan for holidays, 40mpg 4x4 for when I need to go somewhere offroad, and the dog can ride in the cab without worrying about the mud.
There is also a clean car that I am not allowed to use unless I have been completely defertilised. A nippy little MG that goes like hell unless it is stuck behind a micra.

My student son has one of the old wedge shaped Micras. It's a cheap to insure first car and no-one wants to knick it.
There was no way he was going on my insurance - I drive a Subaru.
It's a fab car and you could get a pig in the back with the seats down.
Every time we see a Honda Jazz, we glance at each other & say - "Giffer". Since my mum bought one ( 70+) I have realised that no one under 60 drives one and it's usually a good idea to expect sudden swerves.
I drive Rover and I am very proud that I did not kill off a company slandered by the British press and public for years. >:(

Mine always has welly's, a big pink rubber trug/bucket thing (just in case i need to put something in it) some sacks, a big green sheet thing to keep mud off the car (huh - like I bother with that) and a big green square bag thingy just in case......

Nissan micra, ford ka, ford fiesta, peugeot 106, fiat cinca chinquacento (blummin thing!) and the vauxhaul corsa. ARRGH!
And the new minis are always so bloody aggressively driven with their blinding headlights! Mercedes & BMW's the same. And the new Blinged Up Range Rover (used to be a "proper" car...<sigh>). Lots of throwing the car around at the most inappropriate time and expecting warp speed ability on busy roads. They also seem to have Miracle Breaking Ability if the 80mph Vs single car distance between vehicles during the rain during rush hour on the A10 is anything to go by.
Infact, I propose to ban from the roads ALL CARS EXCEPT MINE between work and home during commuting hours!

Also drove mustang convertable, nice car in some way but tinny and soft tops are noisy things with rubbish rear window. :-X
