Apparently they are good for you, does anybody eat them?
Is there a quick way of removing the husks?
I've nibbled at some of mine dtw but only had the standard finger and thumb method!
;D
I was temtped but there was so many creepy crawlies in there. I think if I had a greenhouse I would leave it in there to dry first but I don't want to bring the head into the house!! Am hoping to plant a few this year.
I eat lots and lots of my own seeds from new heads every year. Bit fiddly until you get the knack of the finger twist!
Might sound strange, but over in the US many people eat them with the shell on. Especially if a bit salted. :)
Tina.
My best friend in Canada ate them all day when he was gardening,he popped one in his mouth with shell on,cracked the shell between his teeth( like a parrot does) worked the kernel out with his tonge and teeth and spat out the shell out,he did them one after the other all day, XX Jeannine
i know someone could tell you how to eat them!!!!
