This is a picture of lettuce Arctic King. I'm really impressed to see it growing through winter on an open site without protection! Who has grown other varieties of winter lettuce and how have they performed? I have a packet of 'Merveille des quatres saisons' which I might try sowing next autumn.

I have Merveile de Quatre Saisons and Cocade/Bronze Arrow which I sowed in a seedbed in mid September under enviromesh, then thinned out some seedlings to cloches (open ended tunnels) in October leaving the rest to grow in situ.
They've all done really well and still look ok.
They look great, I will try and get some seeds
They look really good Dandelion.
I really want to make more use of the ground over winter this next year, so they are a good idea, and they look pretty as well.
we grew red mustard, mizuna, pak choi and chinese leaves, in the poly, still going since late september..also arctic king, I've just transplanted some more, sowed in 1st week of january inside, now in the cold greenhouse :)
I have winter density and they are looking peachy - just like yours :)
They look very cooold.
But very healthy?
Inspired me to try them next winter.
Veery nice dandelion, will try and give lettuce Arctic King a go, it does look good, Have grown chinese leaves like manicscousers, they do ok but never had much luck with winter lettuce.
