Well now, here in Belgium, a land of 4x4's and crappy operators there of, when the forecast say's 'Snow in the Ardennes,' the people in Antwerp, a hundred miles away or more, drive around with fog lights on front and rear and the local DIY shops run out of snow chains........I have to laugh......last time it snowed here was 1999 and it joooost about covered the road for an hour.

Should be lucky, it will turn to rain on the sunny sarf coast. I also turned a big bed over yesterday, so a bit of frost would be handy.

Yes I know I can see it from here. My friends have to try to get to Bristol for a cremation this afternoon, perhaps it will clear a bit later. If not they will have to phone them and ask the undertaker to keep him on a low light ;)

There's an inch if snow here in central Birmingham (where it's usually better than elsewhere), and I've just heard that all schools in Birmingham and Dudley are closed. I haven't phoned the college yet, but I may well be heading for a day off.

Snowing in Cambridge.  Only a bit a moment but not stopping.  Schools mostly closed in preparation - after chaos in 2003 in Cambridgeshire I think everyone is very cautious.  I'm sitting at home with a sore throat and temperature so not sure I will be out enjoying it   ???

Woke up to snow in SE London ;D, and it's still going. Lovely but means the light is rubbish so will be hard to paint today. And I was really hoping for a delivery of bubblewrap. I'm guessing the Interlink guy may not make it.

I'd go out an make a snowman on the allotment if I could get there. :)

Just a few wispy flakes here in Manchester. :(

After all the hype I was expecting trouble opening the front door this morning, but it seems the North West is going to escape most of it.  Still, I've got the day off tomorrow so I can get something constructive done on the lottie.  All my plants in the greenhouse froze and died. :(

We had a couple of inches of snow in the early hours of the morning, here on the edge of the Salisbury Plain.  However, by 9am it rained briefly and there is now just a light scattering on the grass.  It has all gone off the trees though so I wasn't able to get any good photos.   :'(

Wind does strange things when it eddies round obstacles like houses! The college is open, worse luck, but a lot of students haven't made it, and so far I've had one lesson that happened as usual, and one cancelled.

It's snowing heavily again in Birmingham, with the roads totally clogged up and cars slipping all over the place. It can only get worse as it freezes. Schools were closed for the second day running, but they'd have been OK if they'd opened as the roads were clear till about four.

Not a trace of snow on the allotments today, just wet and nasty. Yesterday there was quite a bit left, showing very clearly where the cooler spots are round the site.

I've been having a bit of a problem with the Gimp (free photo manipulation program) so I've had no pics of the snow the right size to post, but i seem to be getting there. I should have some shortly.
