the sun did shine, and I got loverly pressies: a shiny new spade from OH (to replace the cheap rubbish one I bent), and a shiny new fork from work peeps (to replace the cheap rubbish one I broke the handle on), both made of loverly stainless steel and with 10 year guarantees. also got a long-handled apple picker thingy, which is more incentive to replace the apple tree that blew down in the storms.
