Just had a Tesco's finest champagne rhubarb yogurt. made with west country yogurt blended with Channel island cream, sweet & tender rhubarb from selected orchards. My question is ...how many plants do you have to have before it's a orchard ? ???I have 4 so have i got my very own rhubarb orchard. ::)
Nah, froglegs, four only makes an arbour!
;D
:( :'(
They may have been growing in an apple orchard in between the trees. :P
According to Wikipedia, an orchard is made up trees or shrubs, so Rhubarb orchards don't exist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orchard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orchard)
It sounds like they are copying M&S to make their food sound posh.
They may have just got the name wrong, or thought it sounded enticing. Rhubarb is commercialy grown in darkened sheds for forcing, and that's the stuff they're likely to have used.
Yes, but if you tell M&S shoppers that it's grown in a shed they'll not buy it on account of comparing it with battery chickens.... :D
So I've got a patch a rhubarb then and not a orchard :( :'(. Well then I'm going to turn posh because i wont a orchard!.......so peasant's from now on I'm to known as poshlegs ;)
be :-[
Ooooh! An arbour's not posh enough, then?
:o
NO! 8)
Get yourself another two and tell everybody you have a Rhubarb Demi-douze...
;D

A bit like M&S Omega 3 eggs in their salads. I have herd of chickens eggs and hens etc, but I have never herd of an Omega 3 bird!
