Even with a spot of whitefly, the chillis still ripen in the sun and warmth of the conservatory.
They look amazing EJ, something to harvest in this bleak time. :)
Wonder if the plant will do it all again later in the year as I understand you can keep the same plant going for more than one year.
I've put my windowsill ones outside to try and kill of the persistent aphids (washing up liquid has failed to do the trick) , but will have to bring them back in because we're getting frost tonight (per Metcheck).
Any organic aphid killer sprays people can recommend?
I've heard a garlic tea works but have never tried it myself, anyone ?
I've used an organic spray from the garden centre - soft soap I think - & it worked quite well though it required a few sprays to get rid of the beasties - can't rememeber the brand name - sorry.
Lovely pot plant, EJ?
Barnowl - Defenders & Organic Catalogue do several.
Thanks Tim
Tim...................? Where's Tim????????????????
Ahhhhh a new piccy, I nearly didn't recognise you! :)
Should have said ' the last (hopefully) of the 8'!!
Great pic EJ! Neem gets rid of the blighters for me! More chillis for the chili jam eh!!?
You got it Biscombe. ;D
When I HAD a garden, :'( I used to kill the beasts with a spray of warm water and a drop of Fairy Liquid! They dropped in droves....
