Title: Scam warning
Post by: Georgie on January 19, 2007, 20:23:59
I'm not usually one for posting warnings about potential scams but I had a close miss today.

I walked into B&Q at lunchtime and some old guy dressed in orange asked me if I wanted decking. Fortunately, I got the first punch in and that was the end of that.

Those less suspecting might not be so lucky so inform your friends and colleagues.

Hi Geordie, you listen to Wogan of a morning as well!!

The other one was the customer in M&S who was approached by a helpful assistant, asking if he wanted bedding.

His case comes up next month.

Oh I like your joke too, Valmarg.  And no, I don't listen to Wogan (perish the thought!) I'm a Today Programme gal.   ;D

If you are being battered by the wind - best phone the police....
