I've been given a job lot of greenhouse glass from a large greenhouse. Is it possible to reuse the glass to make cloches somehow (or anything else that's useful!)? I could probably just prop it supported by canes, but that's as far as my ingenuity goes.
Any ideas?
we used to do cloches, lean the pieces against one another, pushed in the soil a bit, put other pieces at the ends, with canes to hold them on,
I wouldn't do it now, I'd worry about them being blown over but our site's very windy, watch your hands though
could also do breeze block sides with the glass over the tops :)
oooh i would def make some cold frames out of them!

these clips are very good
I've used the tent clips and they work very well... but be careful with your fingers!
::)
Oh, they're a bargain! Just over a fiver for 24, so I could make 12 tent cloches or 6 barn cloches for that. Much cheaper than the barn cloche frames that I keep eyeing in the gardening brochures :) ::)
LauraB I reckon you could make a few bob at the present time. Seeing how many of us have lost glass from out greenhouses ;D
