Title: B&Q Seed Potatoes.
Post by: Larkspur on January 16, 2007, 17:09:11
B&Q have their seed potatoes in. Arran Pilot, Foremost, Charlotte, Desiree amongst others. £3.48 for 2.5kg or buy two for £5.00 :) ;D. And if you are over 60 like me it makes them £2.25 for 2.5kg with the 10 percent Wednesday discount :D.

Update on the potatoes. Went along and bought mine today 2.5kg of each Foremost, Pentland Javelin, Charlotte and Desiree cane to £8.00 in total, there appears to be 20 percent discount off the seed spuds at the moment. All in good condition but the Aran Pilots were in terrible shape  obviously been stored too warm in the dark and had long white shoots.

I am afraid that I support my local family run garden centre. They are selling their potatoes at £1.00 per kg. As I like to buy them by number (I buy 25 tubers of desiree and fir apple), this arrangement suits better and is supporting local traders. :)

I bought my seed spuds in local shop in Pontllotyn, far cheaper than B&Q and in better condition
