.... and it was brilliant at the lottie. So lovely and warm all day with my plants bobbing their heads happily. Makes such a change from the gales and rain. Our lotties were really busy, lots of people around.
Us too, the sun had his hat very much on today! It was still cold mind you but it was nice to see some blue sky for a change! Our lotties were deserted when we were up there, I was expecting it to be heaving, but not so! x
Hi
I made a much needed trip down to my plot today.
Put some little holly shrubs in and just had a general check over the sight, it was very wind swept! :-\
So far as other visitors goes there was only one other couple, like you both I expected to see lots more there.

More like a early spring day than the second week in January but most welcome after all the recent rain and wind.

It was a lovely day here as well, but I got stuck with preaching at short notice this morning, spent the afternoon in a site committee meeting, and ended up with a splitting headache.
Ooooh you're all making me jealous now! (except for you Robert - hope your head feels better :))
I'm not allowed to go to the lottie at weekends. :( I made the rule but it's hard sticking to it when there's so much to be done, and the weather is so nice.
It's just that my OH leaves for work at 6am and nine times out of ten isn't home until 8pm, so weekends are the only days we get to spend together as a family. I'd feel mean rushing off to my lottie stuff and leaving him and the girls at home. :(
It's really easy to be noble when it's lashing with rain but much, much harder to be unselfish when the sun's out! ;D
It was lovely in Harrogate too. I went to pay my rent and there were plenty of people about. It was colder than it looked thanks to the wind, but it was a most welcome change from rain. I was so glad I wasn't working a weekend shift.

NOT FAIR
I had to work today, and of course when I get a day off on Tuesday, it will rain.
Perhaps I should just put my rota on line so people can see what days I work so they can plan a trip to the lottie! >:(
beautiful here in Wigan as well, but veeery cold, put in 3 hours , planted up red currants, picked some sprouts and marked out new sites, then came home for a warm...wonderful ;D ;D, not one other plot holder !!, tut tut
Lovely day down here in the SW.
While picking sprouts and dusting off yet more white fly i came a across a ladybird having a late lunch.
After all the wet weather is this a sign that spring has sprung?
I hope not the weeds down here are still growing well.
Scumpy
I started the day with the intention of going down but then a friend rang inviting us on a walk. We went up in the hills and although blustery it was fabulous...maybe next weekend I'll make a start?!
