Title: Online seed shop
Post by: kt. on January 02, 2007, 18:51:55
I am looking to buy seeds for 2007. I have bought some from my lottie shop already but have now come across this website - Alanromans.com  All his seeds are only 50p per packet!

They seem very cheap to buy so I wonder if anyone has used seeds from here previously and if they harvested ok. Or is cheap to be stayed clear of? ???
Where do you order from online?

I buy unusual ones from nicky's seeds, nickys-nurseries.co.uk, very good service  :)

I use these and dobies(40% lotty discount) most of AR seeds are identical but smaller numbers and no frills packaging.

just make sure there are enough seeds in the pack and you save the instructions to your pc (or can find them again for sowing dates etc)

They are an excellent and reliable company - no frills or instructions with the seeds, so they pass on the savings!

i use alan romans for all my basic seeds and he is cheaper than my allotment shop even. the packaging is very basic but as has been said you can read the instructions and sowing times online.

I used them the first year of my allotment (and their first year too) and they were very good for basic seed varieties and there was no postage charge then! Definitely would recommend Alan Romans.
I also have a small  booklet called 'Guide to Seed Potato Varieties' by him which I bought at a potato day. It cost £1.25 and is good for descriptions of just about every variety there is.
