Hi guys,
Here is a link to a petition set up by a lady who has a plot on a site where half of the site was taken over by a neighbouring golf course! I'd like to see it as the petition with the most signatures by it's deadline, which is early May.
Hope you will all take a look and put your names to it:

Thanks guys
Great to hear that you have signed up so quickly
Thought I'd just add that maybe admin might want to make this a 'sticky' until the deadline date on May 20th

Why is email and postal address required?

Why is email and postal address required?
ditto
want to sign but dont want the SPAM etc - this could just be way away of harvesting emails / data
looks like anyone can set up an "online petition"
The site itself (a government site) emails you to verify your signature - your name doesn't appear until you verify. They need address to show you're a UK citizen or resident, I believe a handwritten petition also needs that though I could be wrong. All the 'real world' petitions I've signed have required city, postcode though.
Tina.
Done, although I fear that petitions.pm.gov.uk is entirely ignored by the government, like so many other so-called consultations.
Done, " from little acorns mighty oaks do grow"

So I could just give any old UK address? Or will they check it out?
Done by both of us - wish her luck
Done!
