Log man normally stacks, too. Too busy, so gets another chap to deliver. Double load dumped in the yard - £10 more a load & no stacking.
So - what are grandchildren for? The 10 year old & I managed a good wall of logs but I suddenly felt my age & had to hand over to the 8 year old, after only clearing 1/3 of one load.
They had the rest done in no time!!
Know the feeling, I ache after a weekend's work. But on the bright side, when my lad is working - he SLEEPS at night! ;D
It's so good for them to do a little hard physical work and get nicely tired, unfortunately little'uns nowadays sometimes don't get the exercise they need. And I bet it's something they'll look back on and remember well as a great day.
Tim. Did you give them a couple of "merits" each. I get quite annoyed when I am trying to do something and the age and sciatica set in. Thank God for children and grandchildren ;D
