If it was found eating  my veg I would not look on it as being a friend.

I've been finding these big squishy grubs occasionally for years but I'm not sure what they are. They always seem to turn up in that curled position just under the soil surface.

Can't rightly remember what I'd been doing when it appeared.  It could well have come out of some soil as I squishing round there with a hose (don't ask) !

Such a vivid green, far brighter than any pics in the pest book.  could be cabbage moth or tomato moth (but that's got a stripe down the side)

Suffice to say it is no more !

Hopefully the frost we're getting tonight will do some good.

They'd better be bad guys as I have been squishing them for years... otherwise I'd not be able to look another bug in the face again!

Hm, well, I'd consider him a friend, as he'd be good food for my birds and other garden beasties. :D
