Title: They do appreciate you - eventually!
Post by: Georgie on December 17, 2006, 20:40:00
This made me laugh.  My daughter, who recently left home, went to a 'Christmas meal' with one of her boyfriend's relatives today.  This is the text message she sent me afterwards.

'OMG that was the worst xmas dinner ever!  cold turkey!  ready made hard potatoes!  FROZEN veg! And to top it all none other than beef gravy!  just funny!'

Warmed the cockles I can tell you.   ;D

Yeah, but at least she saw the funny side and I do have them both coming for Christmas day so my work is cut out!   :)

Made me laugh that G. Will my son ever be "into " food?

We are having to decamp to cook dinner at someone elses house this year...wonder what kind've disaster may ensue because both OH and I will prefer to be in the kitchen this time lol..might make the day funnier at the very least! Oh god we are really not looking forward to it...maybe I should open something bubbly at 10am anyway, as I would do normally at home, it might put a grin on my face instead of a grimace??!!

Heeeelllp meeeee ............

  :D ;D
