Title: Peas on a frosty morning ?

Hi all just a quicky, was going to put some peas in today, its a frosty morning here in Enfield although the sun is out now, is it too late to go in and is it too frosty. :-\ :-\ ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.

If they are a round seeded variety yes if a wrinkled NO and either way the mice will get them if they get a chance.. I always like to start mine off and transplant, sections of deep guttering are great for that.

or at least soak n sprout for a couple of days on a damp teatowel - it's the dry unsprouted pease that meeces love :)

My peas are Kelvedon Wonder wrinkley type, so not until spring? :'( :'( :'(

BUT if you long for the taste of fresh peas, try pea sprouts?

ready in ten days or so, super sprouts that taste of fresh peas, and I always use Kelvedon Wonder :P :D

Like SS, I soaked and sprouted and put into the ground maybe 3 weeks ago, and they are all up and looking good with very few gaps.

I do hope they survive the "winter".

Same here, though I did a mix of sprouted and straight from the packet (variety Meteor) as I wasn't sure whether the sprouted seeds, having been in the kitchen, would object to the change of temperature. 

It all went under some left-over bubble wrap and, when I looked today, there were some fledgling plants.   :)  Can't say how pleased I was!
