I'm sure this has been asked before, but where the best place to get black plastic from? Just used the last of what had been left behind by the last tenant. Also, any suggestions for using the big cardboard tube from the middle of the roll?
I got a roll from an eBay shop on a roll, worked out about £15 for 50m, that was the cheapest I could find.
As for the cardboard middle....cut up into lengths and use for blanching leeks? Paint as a totem pole? Use as a didgereedo?(however you spell it!) ;D
Hi Deb P,
Can you please post a link for that ebay shop.
Thanks
If you can get perforated, it will allow water through. Harrod Horticultural, LBS Direct and Allplas all sell via the Web :)
Thanks, supersprout
:D Seen it on E bay 12 x 4 metres £14.99 + £10 pp is that cheap?
we got it for our allotment, from e bay, 2m x 50 m for 38.99, good stuff, from a company called supplies direct, very good company, :D
Got mine from Supplies Direct too, just checked, can't see any plastic on offer at the mo' might be worth emailing them?
I can recommend Plastics by Post. Have used them twice with absolutely no complaints. In fact, each time, they sent me more than I had ordered. Different sizes and thicknesses available.
Thanks, everyone- lots of ideas there.
If you know of any garages that repair heavy goods vehicles they will let you have the damaged sheets from the curtainsiders.
I can get them for free for anyone in the Leigh area of Greater Manchester, they are around 9' high and up to 40' long
