Oh congrats, its such an exciting moment the first one, are you going to save if or eat it?
This egg is definitely heading for the frying pan tomorrow - a big fry up to celebrate seems appropriate! ;D

Must pop down and see those lovely ducks again. I promise not to pinch any duck eggs ;D

Hope the girls keep this up, got some serious cake making to do this week for OH's office
Oh great 2 now hee hee, yep great for cakes and makes a baked egg custard to die for enjoy them.
just watch, they'll all lay one every day for the next week and you'll have so many you won't know what to do with them :D
Congratulations on getting some eggs from your ducks, Prink. ;D ;D
Do you know which ones layed them as I know you have two different breeds? Have you changed your mind about selling the three that chase the cats now?
Jealous jealous jealous! My hens are 4 months old. Got to wait ages, another 4-7weeks for my first egg!! :(
Pauline - Think it was the Welsh Harlequins x Silver Appleyards, going by the size of the eggs, these are the three that I am trying to sell. They are still for sale, even though they are laying ;D
ktlawson - unsure how old my three are, born about April/May time according to the seller
